Online Yoga Teacher Training
Welcome to the Heart of Yoga first Online Teacher Training.
It has come from the real-life experiences of many people and from heartfelt dialogue between friends, and is part of the great worldwide process of returning us back to ourselves and the wonder of our own condition. We hope it will be helpful to you.
In a time when many people are questioning what yoga actually is, we offer an answer. This online education is a condensed communication of the heart of yoga, from its ancient origins through to modern times. It is not mere philosophical speculation or conjecture; it is actual yoga stemming from a love of life and an understanding of life formed under the immense influence of wisdom culture and wise people. This is a fact! It is not a spiritual idea or poetry. Yoga is nothing more and nothing less than participation in this fact.
"When you radically stop looking, you might notice there is a movement of life, a unitary movement of body and mind and relatedness. Is your life happening without seeking, without looking, without requiring. It is? Yes! Yoga is not something that you do. Yoga does you."
— Mark Whitwell
You will learn the tools to practice for yourself, and this has the power to create sublime results in your life. That is a promise! Our mission is to have good yoga teachers in every community around the world. It is the hope for humanity.

You will then receive the Heart Of Yoga Certification:
The material is structured in 3 parts:
PART I -
You have a good teacher
The story of the lineage of friendships that have made the heart of yoga available in our modern context. The relationship between the legendary yogi and scholar, Tirumalai Krishnamacharya (1888–1989), and the great living yogi U.G. Krishnamurti (1918–2007), has been pivotal to yoga’s evolution. Mark’s connection to both has inspired him to communicate what was brought forth: Yoga as participation in life.
PART II -
This central part gives the means to develop your own practice. Krishnamacharya taught that yoga must be adapted to the unique needs of each individual, and that there is a right yoga for everybody. Begin a short daily practice for yourself using the principles we share here! It will make it easier to receive what we’re offering, online and in live gatherings, and help you to digest it afterwards.
PART III -
you care about others
This final part explores how yoga is passed on in relationships of mutuality, respect and real feeling. As we come to realise that we are unconditionally supported by the force of creation, we can know it, be it, and pass it on. The final qualification to teach is that you care about others. When your practice “does you,” you realize yoga is you… And everyone else, too. All ethical action begins here.
